Workshop series - Videocamp
The Goethe-Institut Istanbul is very proud to be organizing a large-scale, high-profile arts tour throughout Turkey and the EU from May 2009 until June 2010 - "European Literature Goes to Turkey/ Turkish Literature Goes to Europe".
Within this festival we are organizing a workshop series called “Video Camps”. The workshops were developed in the frame of entropyTV and will focus on creating short video narratives, shot in a single take. The subject of the movie clips will reflect the expectations and experiences of the participants about the European Culture Week Events, as well as their opinion on the European Union.
8 Turkish cities will host a three day long workshop; the results of the video camps will engage first-hand with European art forms and ideas, refelcting the living conditions in Turkey, the European Union or the events of the “EU Festival".
The subject of the movie clips will reflect the expectations and experiences of the participants regarding Turkey, the European Union or the European Culture Week Events. The final works will be a collage mirroring the filmmakers view, as much as the surroundings expectation on Europe coming to Turkey.
The workshops will be conducted by Thomas Büsch (Video Producer), Sabine Küper Büsch (TV correspondent), Dinç Erem Tapa (Design Consultant) and Selim Eyüboglu. The workshop series were originally designed by Sabine Küper-Büsch and Thomas Büsch for the cultural initiative Diyalog based in Istanbul.
